I've had Tara Energy for over 15 years & have kept with them. They always let you know your usage & the estimate of what your monthly bill will be is always close. Never any surprises like most other electric companies. When other companies come to my house to try tooffer their services, I let them know I have Tara Energy & they leave . I've been told several times I have the best.
We were told at our enrollment that we were approved for NO Deposit needed. A "soft" Credit check was run and we were advised that we qualified for NO Deposit needed enrollment. Later, we were advised that a prior provider was listing a bill outstanding. We explained that other company HAD received payment for the year 2020 bill BUT they had not applied that bill WAS paid. Additionally, with that same company, we had even been a RETURN customer and were given a "No Deposit" needed enrollment plus were NEVER told of that 'outstanding" amount. It was easily explained, and proof of payment was provided. The prior company apologized for inconvenience. However, we were then required to pay deposit to TARA due to error from another electricity provider. They ONLY reason given any stars is due to an AMAZING Customer Service tech named Christine. She went above and beyond to assist us through enrollment. She is an awesome person to work with. Now hoping for the best with TARA.
Adding to the 1star reviews here. We have been paying the bills every time using the “pay bills here” phone number on the invoices. The phone number is faulty and transfers over to a customer service line which is not necessary at all to just pay a bill. They have been charging us an additional $5, per month, because of that. They stated they would refund us- Christopher from customer service as well as a supervisor lady that we did not get the name of. Received the invoice for this past month and instead of a refund, they are charging YET ANOTHER $5 this month. That is not right and not professional to claim an action will be done yet do the complete opposite. Not sure how much clearer to request our money back… if this persists, we will have to switch to a more professional and reliable company.
