More than what I expected. Had an amazing flat rate promotional plan through infuse. I wish I had a longer contract, but was afraid that I was missing something in the fine print. I was worried by some aspects like the rather high deposit, but everything that was charged by infuse was written in the terms and conditions. Customer support was clear and helpful. When we terminated early in a month Infuse was well within their rights to charge us full price for that month, but instead cut the bill in half because our usage was low. Overall my experience was great and I would guess that many of the negative reviews are a result of people not reading the terms and conditions and not the fault of Infuse.

Infuse energy has been my preferred provider for both my residence and my business. I have been very pleased with my rates and the customer service. I recently renewed with them again for 36 months and I could not be happier.

Infuse Energy is very good. They do a wonderful job of sending a daily and weekly electricity usage email. I would give 5 stars but, after a 3 month contract for my mom, they are going up significantly to renew, so unfortunately we are changing electric companies for my mom. Also, my 9 month electric contract is up in May 2019 and I am sure the rates will go up significantly and I will also have to change to another electric company.

So far so good. We just signed up today online for the True Blue Infusion 36 months. I was able to get all the information online and research for a few weeks before choosing Infuse. Before we signed up I called Infuse and talked to a CSR who was very nice, helpful and explained everything I needed to know. He answered all the questions I had as well. I will do an updated review after the first bill and again with the third bill to keep the review up to date.

This company has, in my opinion, has ALWAYS gone above and beyond their necessary duty of customer service exceeded my expectations beyond any company I have ever been an electric customer of. Whenever I've written them an email, they have probably gotten back with me. If I need to set up an extension or some sort of payment arrangement they have always helped me so I would never be without electricity. So I just thought I'd needed to share this on their review page, because if you are looking for an an inexpensive electric company with great customer service oh, and this is the one to go to! 👍😁🎉

Since there are a number of negative reviews I just wanted to chime in now that I've been a customer for a number of months (8 to be exact). Thus far everything has been as advertised and I could't be happier with my plan and everyone I've spoken to at Infuse.

I had a wonderful experience with Infuse. It was so easy to monitor my electricity usage, and their automatic billing was extremely convenient. I never had any hidden fees. When contacting the company to cancel the service when I moved, the customer service was fast and helpful.

The most most terrible utility company I've ever dealt with. My plan was supposed to end on 6/6/19 and I switched my plan to another provider on 6/7/19. They claimed that my plan actually ended on midnight 6/5/19 and started a new billing cycle on 6/6/19. They charge me $13 for just one day use, which is absolutely REDICULOUS! BE AWARE and STAY AWAY from this co!

Garbage place with garbage people at the helm. beware you will be charged more than advertised. You wont be able to get out of the contract they make you sign for less than 200 $, and too bad its already signed when you realize how terrible they are. Do yourself a huge favor and keep looking.

Please stay away from this company , THEY ARE FRAUD!!!! they charge more money every month, even if nothing changed. They charged me $90.62 for the first month and the next month I’ve been charged $197.90 for the same place where nothing has changed. The icing on the cake is that the place is EMPTY FOR THOSE MONTHS!!! No one is living in the property, so could someone explain to me how it increased from $90.62 to $197.90. DON’T USE THEM!!!!

So far love my service. I was happy to find a company I could get a decent rate on 100% renewable energy. They have cheaper rates but it makes both my husband and I feel better knowing our energy comes from renewable sources. Also the weekly usage reports they email can tell you a lot of info on your usage.

I had several issues over my time using infuse energy. When I first moved in to my apartment complex I had to transfer unit numbers. I thought this would be a smooth transition, however, for 2 weeks they were charging me for 2 units when I was no longer living in one. I would continue to speak with customer service and they would say it was fixed, however, I continued to get charged for an apartment I was not responsible for. Thankfully, after 2 weeks of calling back and forth, I spoke with a manager and she solved the issue. During my contract with them, they were easy to work with with there online system. I was fearful upon moving out that I would have a similar process to my move in with them charging me. I emailed them a month before moving out to let them know my move out date and they expressed to me that I would be good to go. The downside is they have an automatic system of some sort that sends you bills anyway, even if they say it’s waived and if you have automatic payments set up it will charge you anyway!!. After speaking with a customer service representative they were able to waive the fees for me and tell me to ignore those emails. Overall, I just am not a fan of having to go through all of this trouble and would probably not further my services with them if I still lived in the area.

I've had Infuse Energy and renewed with them twice so far. I've never had any billing issues. Each time I had to call in customer service it has been nothing but a positive experience. I recently called to see if they could match a competitors kwh price and they explained how other competitors may not be honest the customers with the complete kwh breakdown. I spoke with Jessie and he went OVER AND BEYOND to help me. With a different price package, than I currently had, he pulled up my past usage and did his mathematician math to show me what my winter bills would approximately look like as well as what my next summers bills would look like. This blew my mind. He broke everything down for me so that there wouldn't be any "surprises" for me. Amazing customer service. But this type of customer service is what I get each time I call them. If you're looking to switch providers, consider them first and have them breakdown the cost for you. In a world of "take take take" I want my money to go somewhere where I'm treated with human decency. Infuse Energy not only treats me like they actually care about me as a customer, they take the time to explain things to me in layman terms, never rushing to get me off the phone.

I'm not a totally impartial reviewer but Infuse is top notch. I have known their founders since the beginning. They have more knowledge than anyone in the industry and a totally honest way of doing business. Infuse's CEO is always willing to hop on a phone call to talk about the industry, customers, the market, etc.

Signed up with Infuse for a year with an incredible fixed rate under $30 monthly as long as I was under 1000 kWh per month, never had an overcharge issue. When the time to move out came they made it easy to cancel without imposing a fee once I provided evidence of moving out. Curious about one thing though, the prices after renewal were substantially higher than what I signed up for last year. Even the new customer promotions aren't nearly as good as they were when I signed up with y'all originally. Was the $30 plan a loss leader or has the price of electricity really hiked that much within the past year? Also, I do appreciate the transparency you guys provide on your fact sheet. I would definitely consider Infuse in the future if the pricing would be similar to what it once was.

Worst energy provider ever. They like to process unauthorized payments and they won’t even contact you to let you know that they are going to do so. Do not sing up for Infuse! Unless you want to have money debited from your account whenever Infuse feels like doing so.

Pretty good for the most part. Customer service was helpful and they transferred my service from Abilene to Houston without any issues. Some bills were REALLY high (170-180) but most of the time bills remained similar. When I moved to central Texas and canceled my service they shut it off without any issues either. I would definitely consider using them again if I was provided a reason for such an intense spike in bills.

Customer Service is awful. if you are 1 day late they send you a disconnect notice. And charge you $10 for the notice. Not disconnect the service. But $10 for the notice.

Customer service (online chat box) acts as if they own you. I've had 2 conversations with concerns on my bills and they are extremely passive when trying to help you with any concerns understanding your charges. If you sign up with infuse be sure to "read the fine print" as they have told me on 2 separate occasions. This is just another price gouging company in the great state of Texas. Would never recommend to a friend moving forward. Enjoy!

I like this company, even though they are not my energy company. You know why? A friend directed me to read their rebuttals to all the arbitrary 1 Star Reviews. Those responses made my day. Hahahahaha. That’s how you handle an uninformed, ungrateful, entitled populace whose dubious reviews are likely mostly slanderous untruths. LOL. Of course, I don’t know each and every situation, but the rebuttals themselves seem to lend themselves to the favor of the company, Infuse Energy.

HONEST RECENT CUSTOMER REVIEW: Infuse Energy has a great option if you are single & don't use much energy at all, but if you live like a normal person you'll want to avoid their "KEEP IT SIMPLE Savings 12 Plan". I was able to keep my MaH below 1k a month & only pay the $50/mo. Although, that meant avoiding efficiently heating my apartment or blasting my AC in the summer. Once I got married, there was no way of keeping my MaH below 1k/mo. My bill then TRIPLED to around $160-170/mo. due to the terms & conditions of surpassing the 1k MaH/mo limit. BTW...I was only averaging 1,200 MaH/mo...not an outrageous amount. The Live Chat for customer Service answered quickly & professionally. Although calling in for a question was a different experience. The customer service there was at times rude, and normally not worth my effort. The Customer service is the only thing keeping my honest review from giving this company 1 star. I would suggest looking for another energy provider & not getting caught up in deals that have a catch like Nights & Weekends, etc. Look for a low fixed-rate. The new plan I switched to is constantly $50-65/mo with efficient heat/AC & a wife ;)

The company did well by me, did a 3 month contract because I wanted a cheap rate and then looked on power-to-choose to pick a replacement. Had to call in to talk to a rep because I wasn't aware that the P2C rate was for new customers only, a few minutes later after talking to the rep (who was amazing by the way, super friendly and relaxed) they agreed to honor the P2C rate. Totally wasn't required of them to do this and I appreciate it a ton! In terms of customer service quality, yeesh, I don't know what all these people are talking about with customer service being rude. People...if you call into a place with a chip on your shoulder, you put other people into your mood as well. Calm down Karen's of the world, call in, talk to the person like a human and settle your stuff. ALSO...if you didn't pay your bill on time then that is YOUR fault, when you call in to rectify the situation...try a little humility. Good Lord, you people are the reason when I call in to customer service, I ask how their day is going and relax the mood whenever possible and appropriate. My ONLY criticism of the company and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars (sorry infuse) is that returning customers should get the same or slightly better rates ( or maybe on the monthly flat fee?). As a "thank you" for being a loyal customer. Other than that, stay awesome Infuse! I look forward to our continued business!

I do not recommend this company to anyone! Their meter readings are not accurate. Every time I receive their “weekly usage report” they have the following pattern: One week I will consume X amount of kWh and the following week, out of nowhere (because I’m barely in my apartment), Infuse will claim that I used more than doble kWh than the previous week. And then the third week it goes down again. And I basically do the exact same thing every week. They are just giving you random readings so at the end of the month you have a ridiculous high bill. Do not chose infuse as your energy company.

Had them for a year, been great. Customer service has been great and switching addresses was easy, and they waived a declined card fee once. Other reviewers apparently need to actually read their contract, and learn about TDU, etc charges.

I am a current client of Infuse Energy for my 1 bedroom 800 sq ft apartment and they are horrible. There are tons of extra fees that they tack on and say "everyone else pays" but I have friends and family members with 2000+ sq ft HOUSES that have lower bills than I do. I have not seen the TDU charges on my friends bills. These "TDU" fees that I'm paying, account for roughly 41% of my bill. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

I have been with Infuse since June 2019 and they have been great to me. I will continue to use them for the foreseeable future. I have had an excellent experience so far. These are the highlights of my experience so far: 1. Excellent Customer Service 2. Low, reasonable electricity rates. 3. No upcharges. 4. Easy to read, transparent billing statements. I know what to expect when my Electric bill arrives in my inbox and I couldn't be happier with Infuse Energy. Keep up the good work!

Warning: I'm a current Infuse customer and I'm disappointed. They charge extra fees such as a non auto pay fee. Then there are several other fees that total more than what the actual usage is . I can't wait for my contract to expire. The customer service isn't great as well.

ADDITIONAL UPDATE: They will charge you a $10 disconnect notice fee ON TOP OF THE LATE FEE after you are TWO DAYS late with your payment. This is on top of the late payment penalty. UPDATE: Before you go with this company, I suggest you look at all of their responses to customer reviews. Those alone should give you pause. I've never seen such snide replies from a company before. Does it look like they care about their customers? Maybe after my update, they will update with a veiled threat like they have done to others...seriously, you HAVE to read their responses. It's a hoot!! And yes one star…REALLY! 😁 My bill was due on 11/4/19. It is 11/6/19 & I have received a disconnect notice. Yes, I did forget my payment date, but two days after it is due? Really?! One other thing I found really interesting is that they do not provide a confirmation number when you make a payment online. I don't think I have ever seen that with any utility company. You also cannot find a list of your payments online.

I have been using Infuse for a few years now in my apartments. When I first joined I had the deal of a lifetime with $25 a month service. I highly recommend this service for 1 bedroom apartments. The service has been wonderful, no surprise bills, no extra charges. The customer service is fantastic quick, friendly, and reliable. The customer chat has been my best friend quick responses, always answer my questions, and everything I need is done without waiting on hold. I definitely recommend Infuse energy.

I was forced to this light company, I had axon,I was very comfortable with them. No complaints. Next thing I know I'm with infuse energy, I never agreed to this change. Axon energy gave me the power of pay options, Infuse energy doesn't. Very unsatisfied and very disappointed with this company.

I've never really experienced customer service like this...why can't everyone else follow this model? I'm dealing with homeowners insurance now...don't get me started.

They have good deals but I had to cancel my contract before I move-in into my apartment and they asked for some proof of changing my address and I submitted the paperwork and I still got charged. Now, they are taking weeks to give me my money back....

Their rates are a gimmick. dont sign up with them . I was a customer with them for a year and they have multiple hidden fees. Even during the time of covid hardship they refused to waive their padded charges back. EVERY utility company is helping out their clients, this company does NOT care. The supervisor Sydeny has flatly refused and so has the customer agent socorro. find a real electricity company, there are multiple legit companies out there. Avoid gimmicks. Good Luck

If I could give less than 1 star I would. When your plan ends, they won't contact you. They will simply put you on a plan that you pay DOUBLE for. When y I u contact them about it, they will refuse to fix anything saying they notified you about the change, even though they never did. They will not change anything for you though, you just get stuck with a bill double what it was. Go with a company that actually cares about their customers. Literally anyone other than Infuse.

Called them up due to their advertised rates, started the call and they went right to a credit check. No worries, Ive had over a 820 credit score for the last 10 years. What?? I didnt pass their credit score and would need a deposit?? Have a nice day. They cant even get a credit check right, what else are they going to mess up? And just to double check...yep, both Equifax and Transunion have me at 826 today. Pfffft.

BEWARE!!! Price gougers! They lure you in with a low-rate, short term plan and then failed to notify me by mail when the contract was up. Following the initial contract term, I received the highest bills I have EVER HAD for electricity. Contacting customer support was like talking to a used car salesman. Infuse refused to reevaluate the bill, which I believe is unlawful based on their failure to notify me of the contract end date (which admittedly I should have noted on my calendar, but that's irrelevant because they are required to notify customers by law.) Furthermore, that does not justify tripling the price from 6.2 cents/kwh to over 15 cents/kwh. I attempted to work with them to get a similarly matching rate to the introductory offer I signed up with, but the rep was very difficult to deal with, even considering that we were having a diplomatic/polite discussion. If you have a customer that is open to signing another contract, then keep the customer!—don't drive them away! I'm certain Infuse will reply to this review with [INSERT_EXCUSE_HERE] and [CONTACT_US_AT_###]. Why? Just so that I can listen to your representative attempt to justify this inexcusable customer service experience?

A nice intro rate and then they completely hose you at the end of your contract period. When i tried to explain that I received HUNDREDS emails from them in the past their "notice" of the change was buried under their emails, I received a defensive response on how it was my problem that they literally doubled my kWh overnight and could care less about keeping me as a client. What you see here with other clients are the same cautions of run like Hell from the old bait-and-switch. There is a reason their rating on Google is terrible. Read the reviews and note the defensive replies.

One of the worst service provider I have ever seen. They will try to charge money from all the possible options. I missed a payment by 2 days because the credit card in the account was expired and payment was declined. They have charged me $45 + Late payment fee. I have never seen any company charging money from the customer for credit card payment decline. Also they sent me the disconnection notice within 24 hours of payment due date and charged $10 for sending the notice. There should be at least basic courtesy to let the customer know about payment decline before the charging the disconnection fee. Even the customer support is not helpful and aggressive. They will not understand the customer concerns.

First of all, they are extremely expensive. When other companies charge 6 cents per kWh, then Infuse charges 12 cents per kWh. I am not exaggerating. This is my own bill, which I am talking about. Someone would retort, "Why did you buy this plan then?" My answer is: "Because I was new in USA, and I didn't know much. I took the plan which I got first". Second, the customer service is very very bad. Available only up until 5:30 pm in the evening. Come on! Working people like me get a chance to call the customer service only after 05:00 pm. By writing this review, I hope that someone who is new to USA, does not end up subscribing to Infuse Energy plans, just like I did. Thank you!

HAPPY CUSTOMER SO FAR!! I have to share this... I was at HEB in Roundrock, while leaving couple of guys were asking if they like to lower their electricity bill? so they asked me who do you use? I told them Infuse he said do you your bill so I can show you how I can save you for sure... I was open to listening, on my phone I showed them my bill, His words were Mam you have great Rate I can't touch it.. Wow felt great! I love there service and I have locked my rate for 3years!!

I signed up with Infuse for one of my rental properties and it was just supposed to be for 2 months...enough time to enable me clean up the house and get it ready and find another tenant. for that 2 months, there was no body living there. its a 2 bedroom condo and 1st month, they send me a bill for $86. i complain and they brush it off and deny my complaint. I just got the 2nd month bill now for $225 for a 2 bedroom with no body living there. this is the biggest scam of the century and no one should take up their services. I will file a complaint if they dont correct this. this is incredible

Pretty dissaponting service experience even thru emergencies they simply don't care, will send you misleading recommendations that make you end up with a higher bill, fail to recognize they've sent such emails and fail to recognize the lost of service that (even with all this factors combined still no action from them) it didn't allow you to reach your minimum usage unfairly. have to send multiple emails to get a single response and even when you finally get a response they don't seem bothered to even read your prior emails and will have to re-write your concerns only to be ignored again.

I got stuck with a variable rate plan after my fixed rate plan with Infuse Energy expired last year and I failed to update it. I was automatically moved into a variable rate plan. I was sweating bullets waiting on my February bill given the deep freeze we went through and reading about market prices for energy skyrocketing, but my bill wasn't $10 more than January if that. Seems like some of our retailers like Infuse were prepared for this type of event, buying futures contracts, etc. and were not exposed to the market gyrations that hit other retailers who were caught having to buy power on the "spot market", or a retailer like Griddy with a business model that essentially allows the customer to pay the spot market price for power when they use it. Hopefully my neighbors stuck in a variable rate plan at the wrong time can say the same thing, but nice to know that Infuse knows what they're doing and is looking out for their customers' best interests.

I really don't have any problems with Infuse. During Feb bad weather period, I called they noted account. If my bill for Feb was bad then they offered to assist to help with the claim. Of course it wasn't needed due to the Oncor situation, their team worked on accounts to make sure readings was as close to normal as possible. I am hoping to renew again when the time comes and hopefully the rates at the future time will be better then the competition. Thank you Infuse

Rated 3 stars because their renewal plans are an absolute joke. My fiancée and I got our own place and this was our first time finding an electric company. They were easy to deal with on the phone, inexpensive and all around wonderful. When it came time to renew or cancel, their "loyalty renewal" services were more expensive than their normal 12/24 month services. We're being rewarded for being great, on time paying customers with overpriced electricity. Bummer we have to switch companies, we liked this company.

The best power company I've ever had the pleasure of working with! I was on a variable rate during the 2021 freeze and was expecting an enormous bill. Infuse came through and kept the bill extremely reasonable, well within my expected typical monthly budget, and I cannot thank them enough for that. A huge relief and a great company to work with. Quick response times for questions, no surprise billing. They'll allow you to put a security deposit instead of supplying a SSN, if you prefer. I have been with Infuse for 1.5 years now over 2 properties and don't have anything bad to say.

Could give them zero star if I could. They turned off my power even though they CONFIRMED my payment went through when I called after receiving the disconnection notice . Representative on the phone not sympathetic and blame me for not posting the payment . I have seen animals has more humanity in him . While he sits in his little AC office , my family was in the heat of the summer , our food in the fridge rotting . I used another credit card and payment went through . Terrible customer service.

I renewed a plan at 8/23 but the new plan starts tomorrow 8/27. I just called tried to cancel the renew.. but they said because I already agreed to renew I need to pay 150 cancellation fee . Even the plan not start yet.

Definitely best energy company I've worked with. There was a mix up after another provider came to the door to try and sway us and had enough to send a switch notification terminating our contract with infuse which we expressed we did NOT want. This left us surprised when our power was turned off, no fault to infuse. After calling and expressing my confusion, Jesse helped fully explain what we believe happened and he really put me at ease and even though we had to execute a new contract, he did his absolute best to get our power back quickly. I'm so happy with not only the service I received today but the experiences I've had with customer service in the past. Jesse was extremely helpful, patient and very informative. Again, I couldn't be happier to be an Infuse customer. Will recommend every chance I get.

These guys will scam you. Do not waste your time with this provider. Their customer service is equivalent to the type of service you’d get from McDonalds. I moved out of my apartment 2 months ago and was told I wasn’t liable for charges after moving out and now they are sending usage bills 2 months later. 200$. We are literally in the middle of a pandemic and they want to extort customers and threaten to send bills to collection. One customer rep will tell you one thing over the phone, and when you talk to another rep, they'll say "I don't know why he'd tell you that". They will claim to do an investigation, which is a LIE. If my case was investigated, they would literally hear me asking questions about termination e.t.c. OWN YOUR TRUTH. THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO MAKE MONEY 0 Stars

If I could give them zero stars I would. Worst company out there, Energy Ogre tried putting me on their service but the website gave an error message. So they switched me then Infuse claimed I was signed up for 4 days charge me over $300 for cancel fees etc. They said they would not refund me anything since I didn't reply in time (which was a week after figuring out this error) AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS

Infuse Energy went out of business and did not notify its customers. ***Update*** Please note Infuse Energy’s response - I was not notified in writing of anything AND my new provider told me they are no longer in the business of providing electricity to people. The notification I received was on my bill and that my service ended on 4/8/22 and I received an email that said “Welcome to ***** Energy. We are now your energy provider. When I called the new provider, they told me that are no longer providing electricity services to their customers. They also told me that in sudden emergency cases like this, they are not required to notify the customers. Their electricity account is auto assigned to a new provider so you never lose power. My new provider is honoring my current rate and contract so that is nice. They also have 24/7 customer service unlike Infuse who is 8-5 M-F (if you have any issues on the weekend, too bad). So no, Infuse Energy, my words are not completely false. You don’t even have customer service open on the weekends for your customers to contact you. Your response to my review just goes to show that you care little about your customers. #thecustomerisalwaysright

Kicked us off our plan and shut off our service twice in 3 weeks, even though we were on an automatic payment. Customer service said it was "probably a mistake" and they would "probably have time to reconnect it." Not funny when the power is out. After the second time we realized we couldn't count on Infuse any longer. Oh, and we were charged two bills in the same three weeks, both paid immediately by the auto payment.

We used Infuse Energy for the first time, when a tenant moved out of a townhouse we own. The need for service was only a month until we got another tenant, which we did. The customer service at Infuse Energy was friendly and understood our needs completely. There were no cancellation or early termination fees. We will definitely be using Infuse Energy again for future electricity needs.

We're about halfway through our 36 month contract with Infuse and so far no problems at all. We've been happy with our billing statements and billing process, no complaints at all. We have their number if we ever do need to call and online login works well. Just wish Infuse had a mobile app to use!

They “transferred meters” to another provider in my area with zero forewarning or heads up AND didn’t transfer payment info so I nearly had a lapse in service. Had no complaints prior to but they handled this poorly. I see others had similar experiences, and I see Infuse responded that they *did* notify but I checked through my email and old physical mail and didn’t find anything. With an important transition like that I would expect multiple emails, phone calls, and at least one or two letters

Infuse Energy distinguishes itself with its customer service. Their customers were first and foremost during the Feb freeze unlike some other providers. Sometimes getting the lowest price isn't worth sacrificing working with a quality firm. I will renew with Infuse Energy at the end of my current contract.

I received a letter stating that my account will be transferred to a different power company; my autopay must be reset, have to watch my emails for an email from new company w/new account number. I've been with Infuse Energy for approximately 2 years. First year, the bills were good; the following year, very expensive. I could have done a lot better when I chose a power company. Stay away.

They are the worst company. I don’t recommend it, they sold my contract to Reliant without notifying me first. My bill used to come out to $50-$70 every month. I’ve been using the same amount of electricity and my bill with Reliant is more than $100 every month now. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

How we rate providers

Plans and Rates: 

We review all available plans from every licensed energy provider. Then we rank the lowest available rate from each provider. Providers then receive a rating based on what percentile their lowest plan ranks.

For example, Provider A has the 3rd lowest-priced plan, while Provider B has the 45th lowest-priced plan out of 46 providers who submitted plans to PUC. Provider A will have a rating of 5, while Provider B will have a rating of 1.

Customer Service:

We scrape online reviews from Google, Yelp, BBB, and Trust Pilot to determine what customers are saying about the provider. The rating reflects the aggregate of all online reviews.

Renewable Options:

The rating system is based on the availability of renewable energy options. A 5-star rating is awarded to entities that offer a fully renewable option, signifying 100% renewable energy usage. A 4-star rating is given to those that provide a mix of energy sources, with more than 50% coming from renewable sources. Entities with renewable energy options exceeding the state average of 31.1% receive a 3-star rating, while those offering less than 31.1% renewable options are rated with 2 stars. Lastly, a 1-star rating is assigned to those with no renewable energy options, indicating a lack of commitment to sustainable energy practices.

PUC Rating:

The Public Utility Commission publishes a rating for each provider based on the number of formal complaints filed against the provider in comparison to how many customers they have.

For example, a provider with 10 formal complaints out of 10,000 customers would have a 1-star rating whereas a provider with 10 complaints and 1,000,000 customers would have a 5-star rating.

GridHacker Rating:

The GridHacker rating uses a weighted average that prioritizes rates and customer service over renewable options and PUC rating. We do this because we feel that for most customers price and service are the two most important factors when they are shopping for an electricity plan.
